There's more.

The daughter's gig was great. Her stuff is edgy and difficult to play; it needs experienced musicians (and a bit of editing, it has to be said). She heard today that she got a 1st for her 'David Bowie' project, for which she was partnered by Liam, an excellent guitar musician from the antipodes.

I've heard nothing from Roland Joffe yet, but have been up for the new Ricky Gervaise film and the new John Godber play - 'Say it With Flowers', the latter at Hull Truck in - you've guessed it, Hull. The new agent is working his socks off, bless him. So I suppose I'd better get on with the writing and the golf. An actor's life for me. Have I said that before?

Two years, already?

Almost two years to the day since we last spoke????

Well, my dog died last year. Then my agent retired two years ago and I haven't stopped working since. What's all that about? I've got a new agent now - Robert Kelly @ Kelly Management. We're getting on great, so far. I've just had a casting for a new Roland Joffe film about Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei. I'll keep you posted, if you're interested.

In the last two years I've been busy at the Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch, Shakespeare's Globe, the Arcola in Dalston - twice, and a tour of the North (Harrogate, Oldham, Scarborough, Glasgow, Middlesborough and also Greenwhich) with Jack Shepherd's latest play, "Only When I Laugh", in which yours truly had to appear nekkid! It wasn't as painless as I had imagined - well, not for me, anyway; you'd better ask the audiences what they thought.

The daughter, Beth, completes her Dip Mus in Popular Music with her final performance of her own writing with a live band on Thursday. Yipee! Then she can get a job and pay me back all the money she owes me.... lol. (get me)

So, I'm resting, at the moment, but not, hopefully, for long.

I'll get back to you.
